1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using CaptionNow (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. The App is operated by The Developer. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
2. Standard EULA
This App is licensed to you under the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). By using this App, you agree to the terms set forth in the Apple Standard EULA: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
3. Subscription Services
The App offers auto-renewable subscription services. By subscribing, you agree to the following:
- Payment: Charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase.
- Renewal: Automatically renews unless turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Management: You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store Account Settings.
- Trial Forfeiture: Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited upon purchase of a subscription.
4. Fair Use and Cloud Resource Policy
To ensure service stability and fairness for all users, we implement the following policies:
- Cloud Resource Consumption: Our "speech-to-text" services rely on high-cost cloud computing resources. Users are expected to use these resources reasonably.
- Refund Abuse Policy: While refund requests are handled by Apple, we strictly prohibit "Service Exploitation"—defined as consuming significant cloud resources (e.g., long-duration transcriptions) followed by a deliberate refund request to avoid payment.
- Abuse Prevention & Data Retention: To prevent systematic abuse (such as repeated trial exploitation), we retain anonymized usage metrics even after account deletion. This data is used solely to identify and block patterns of abuse.
5. Account Termination and Banning
